Most Lake Of The Ozarks Campgrounds Are Near The Lake. This One Is On It.

Lake of the Ozarks has about 1,150 miles of shoreline and nearly all of it is private. When we counted every RV park and campground around the lake for our 39-park directory, only 21 were actually on the water and only 14 had a launch on the property. A “lake” address usually means a highway, a cove you cannot get a trailer to, or a fishing pond.

LakeTime RV is an RV park on the main channel in Osage Beach. Your campsite is on the water or a short walk from it. The sand swim beaches and the swim cove are inside the park, the dock and pier are there for evening fishing, and the public boat ramp with trailer parking is open 24 hours a day. You back in, hook up, and the lake is the view.

It is an RV campground, so be clear on what that means: 124 full hookup sites with 30 and 50 amp service for rigs up to 50 feet, and no tent sites. There is no pool, waterpark or restaurant on the property. The pool bars and Margaritaville are minutes away, and camp is the quiet part of the day.

What Camping Here Looks Like

Sand swim beaches and a swim cove

Multiple sand swim beaches and a protected swim cove inside the park, steps from the sites. Swimming and beach access run in season; there is no swimming or beach access from October through April.

Fire rings and picnic tables

Most sites have a fire ring and a picnic table. Above-ground personal fire pits are welcome as fire restrictions allow, so a campfire on the water is part of the deal, not an add-on.

Dock, pier and sunset pavilion

A dock and pier for fishing off the bank or tying up the boat, and a covered pavilion on the point that catches the sunset. Bring a chair; the sunsets are the evening program.

Public boat ramp, open 24/7

Launch from camp onto the main channel any hour of the day, no no-wake crawl to open water. Campers launch from inside the gate; day launchers use the secure key card lot for $20 a day. Details on the Boat Ramp page.

Fiber Wi-Fi, bathhouses, two dog parks

Fiber optic Wi-Fi across the park that holds up for remote work, modern bathhouses with hot showers that guests call out in reviews, and two fenced dog parks. Pets are welcome.

Gated, staffed, open all year

Key card gate, an office staffed seven days a week from 9 to 5, and a park that stays open through the winter for fall fishing, monthly stays and annual sites. Playground for the kids, level gravel pads for the rig.

Camping On The Lake, Season By Season

The park is open twelve months a year and the lake changes character every few of them. Here is what each stretch is good for.

March to May

The lake wakes up: crappie and bass fishing turn on, the water is empty on weekdays, and this is the window to lock in summer weekends and annual sites before they are gone.

June to September

Beach season. Swim beaches and the cove are open, the ramp is busy from sunrise, and the pool bars down the shore are a short walk. Holiday weekends book months ahead.

October to November

The best-kept secret at the lake: fall color on the bluffs, cool nights around the fire ring, the main channel to yourself, and some of the year’s best fishing. Beaches close for the season.

December to February

Quiet, gated and open. Full hookups keep running for winter fishing, monthly stays for travel nurses and crews, and annual guests who like having the lake to themselves.

Good To Know Before You Book

Check-in is 1:00 PM or later and check-out is 11:00 AM. The base rate covers four people, one RV and one vehicle. Quiet hours run 10 PM to 8 AM, and the gate is key card only, which is most of why the park stays quiet.

Cancellations more than 72 hours before arrival carry a $20 fee; inside 72 hours they are non-refundable. Pets are welcome. Campfires are fine in the fire rings and in above-ground pits as fire restrictions allow.
