It’s an annual tradition at the Lake: gathering by boat or by land to watch fireworks over the water for Memorial Day, July 4th, and Labor Day.
But not this year.
Most of the major venues that annually hold fireworks shows are cancelling them, and they’re blaming a lack of Lodging Tax dollars, which historically helped fund the shows.
For Memorial Day Weekend, the only fireworks shows LakeExpo could confirm will be:
-Celebration Cruises/Bagnell Dam (Sunday, May 25)
-Bear Bottom Resort (Saturday, May 24)
Here’s a list of the main venues that hold fireworks shows, with who is — and isn’t — having fireworks at the Lake for the three major holidays this summer…
Celebration Cruises/Bagnell Dam
They’ll be having fireworks at the dam all season long!
This includes Memorial Day & Labor Day, plus fireworks cruises every Saturday in July.
Point Randall Resort
For now, Point Randall will only have fireworks on the Fourth of July.
Margaritaville Lake Resort
There will be no fireworks displays on any holiday weekends this year at Margaritaville Lake Resort.
Margaritaville confirmed to LakeExpo that their cancellation of this year’s shows was due to the loss of lodging tax funding.
Lodge of Four Seasons
The Lodge will only have fireworks on July 4th.
Lodge of Four Seasons confirmed to LakeExpo that their cancellation of this year’s shows was due to the loss of lodging tax funding.
Inn at Grand Glaize
No fireworks for Memorial Day Weekend, but the Inn could not yet confirm their plans for July 4th or Labor Day.
Bear Bottom Resort
Don’t worry, Bear Bottom will have fireworks every Saturday starting May 24th, through Labor Day!
Tuscumbia City Park
July 12, 2025. Fireworks and food show will begin with food at 6 p.m. and fireworks at 9:15 p.m.
